How Polytron Lubrication Technology Works

Polytron products are designed to address friction, wear, deposits and contamination across different mechanical systems.

Polytron MTC uses the company’s proprietary micro-metallurgical approach to interact with lubricated metal surfaces. According to Polytron, the process is designed to create a polished protective micro-layer from the existing metal surface in areas exposed to friction, pressure and heat.

Polytron GDFC works through treated gasoline or diesel fuel to help clean and lubricate fuel-system components. Polytron EP-2 combines a lithium complex grease base with Polytron lubrication technology for extreme-pressure and multipurpose grease applications.

Product performance depends on the application, equipment condition, maintenance history, lubricant or fuel quality, treatment concentration and operating environment.

  • What Are the Three Core Polytron Products?

Polytron’s core U.S. product line includes Polytron MTC Metal Treatment Concentrate, Polytron GDFC Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Conditioner, and Polytron EP-2 Lithium Complex Grease.

Each product addresses a different mechanical system. MTC is added to compatible lubricating oils, GDFC is added to gasoline or diesel fuel, and EP-2 is applied to compatible grease-lubricated components.

  • Are Polytron Products Made in the USA?

Yes. Polytron products sold through Polytron Lubricants, LLC are identified as made in the United States.

  • Can Polytron Be Used in Gasoline and Diesel Engines?

Polytron MTC and Polytron GDFC are formulated for applications involving gasoline and diesel engines. MTC is added to compatible engine oil, while GDFC is added to the fuel. They are different products and have different treatment ratios.

  • Is Polytron Only for Automotive Use?

No. Polytron products can be used in compatible fleet, agricultural, construction, manufacturing, mining, marine, rail and industrial applications.

  • Which Polytron Product Should I Use?

Choose the product according to the system being treated:

    • Use Polytron MTC in compatible oil-lubricated systems.
    • Use Polytron GDFC in gasoline or diesel fuel.
    • Use Polytron EP-2 where a compatible lithium complex EP2 grease is specified.

Contact Polytron before treating specialized equipment or starting a commercial fleet evaluation.
  • Does Polytron Replace Regular Maintenance?

No. Polytron products do not replace scheduled oil changes, filter replacement, equipment inspections, manufacturer-required service or mechanical repairs.
